MashON for Apple Watch puts activity metrics and route context within reach during cycling, running, and walking. Create or join your Mash on iPhone, then start it there.
Updated September 27, 2026.
Activity metrics first
The Activity Metrics page shows readings relevant to your activity. Cycling can include speed, power, cadence, and heart rate. Available averages appear alongside current readings. Some measurements depend on Health permissions, compatible hardware, or connected sensors.
Is the ghost ahead or behind?
Ghost and Challenge pages show the distance gap with an ahead-or-behind label. A separate time-gap page compares your timing with the ghost. These pages also show route progress and available route accuracy.
Explore the route map
The route overview shows the route with your position and the ghost when available. Zoom and move the map to inspect the route. A second, closer, tilted map provides a forward-looking view with adjustable zoom.
Workout controls
Use the workout controls page to manage the workout. Activity screens and the readings available depend on the current Mash mode and the data supplied by your devices.
How do I get started?
Install MashON on your iPhone and paired Apple Watch. Allow the relevant Health and Location access, create or join a Mash on iPhone, and start it there. Wear your Watch securely for heart-rate readings.
Can Apple Watch replace my iPhone?
This workflow starts from iPhone. Do not assume that the Watch app independently creates, joins, or starts a Mash. Keep your iPhone available for setup and connection status.
Why might a value or map be missing?
Check Health and Location permissions, device connectivity, and compatible sensor availability. GPS and route data may be unavailable or unreliable. A missing measurement does not mean that it is zero.
Use maps safely
MashON's route views are activity context, not a guaranteed turn-by-turn navigation or emergency service. Stop safely when you need to inspect a map or change a setting.
