MashON guide

Keep the activities you want to race again.

Saved Activities are your reusable recorded workouts in MashON. Import an activity, review its route, trim the start or end, and choose it later when creating a Ghost Mash.

Where do I manage saved activities?

Open Saved Activities from the Ghost menu to add or delete activities. The saved-activity picker during Mash creation is for choosing an existing activity, not adding a new one.

What can I import?

The add-activity options include Apple Fitness, Strava, and GPX files. Apple Fitness and Strava activities need an outdoor GPS route. GPX ghost replay requires a timestamp for each point and valid chronological timing.

Select an activity for a Ghost Mash

During creation, open the saved-activity picker, review the details, and select the recorded activity to continue. Choosing an activity does not begin the workout; start the Mash when you are ready.

Trim the start or end

Open Edit or Trim Activity. Choose Trim from start or Trim from end, then choose time or distance for that end. You can use different trimming methods at the two ends. Review the map to see the part being removed before saving.

Restore the original

MashON retains the untrimmed version when you trim a saved activity. Use the restore-original option to revert the trim. Review the result before using the activity for a new Mash.

Are my activities local by default?

Yes. Cloud Sync in App Settings is disabled by default. When it is off, newly saved activities stay on your device. Local-only activities are not automatically available on your other devices.

What changes when I enable Cloud Sync?

MashON uploads Saved Activities to your account so they can sync across signed-in devices. A retained untrimmed original is uploaded too. Files may include precise routes, timestamps, heart rate, power, and cadence. Enable sync only if you want those files stored in MashON's cloud.

Does turning sync off delete cloud files?

No. Turning sync off stops new transfers from that device but leaves existing cloud copies. App Settings provides a separate Saved Activity cloud-deletion action. Deleting your account also removes your synced private content.

Review routes before sharing

A route may reveal home, work, or meeting locations. Trimming helps remove unwanted portions, but a retained original may still contain them. Review what is being uploaded or shared and read the Privacy Policy.
