Which sensors does MashON support?

MashON connects to compatible Bluetooth Low Energy sensors that expose standard heart-rate, cycling-power, or cadence services. These readings can add detail to an activity beyond the location information provided by your phone.

Connect a sensor before starting

Wake the sensor and open the sensor connection controls in MashON. Choose the sensor type, allow Bluetooth access when prompted, and select the discovered device. Check for a live reading before beginning your activity.

Understand the available readings

Heart rate is shown in beats per minute, cycling power in watts, and cadence in revolutions per minute. Some power meters also supply cadence. Available values depend on what the connected hardware actually broadcasts and which sources the activity uses.

Why is a value missing?

A sensor may be asleep, out of range, disconnected, or unavailable because of permissions. A connected device may also need movement before it sends a measurement. Check the connection state and sensor battery rather than treating a missing value as zero.

Check compatibility

Bluetooth support does not mean every fitness device will work. Proprietary protocols or devices that do not expose the supported services may be incompatible. Apple Watch provides another source of workout information, with its own device and Health permission requirements.
