What is a MashON challenge?
A challenge gives an activity a route and a reference effort. You follow the route and compare your progress with the recorded performance. It brings a shared target to cycling, running, or walking without requiring everyone to start together.
Challenge a friend
Choose an eligible recorded activity and create a challenge to share. Your friend opens the invitation in MashON to review the challenge before taking part. A private invitation is different from a public challenge, so share the private link only with the intended participant.
Explore public challenges
Public challenges are discoverable activities with reusable links and leaderboards. Creating public challenges requires MashON Pro. Review the route and activity details before deciding to attempt one. Availability depends on the challenges people have created and shared.
Compare your effort along the route
During a challenge, ghost-style comparisons help show the gap to the recorded effort. GPS quality, the recorded track, and how closely you follow the route affect the comparison and result validation. A leaderboard is a record of eligible activity results, not a guarantee that every attempt will qualify.
Ghost Mash or challenge?
A Ghost Mash is a personal replay of a previous workout. A challenge shares a target with other people. Both begin with recorded activity data, but a challenge adds an invitation or public result context. Choose the mode that fits whether you want a personal comparison or a shared goal.
